I feel...

Re: I feel...

Thanks for explaining STOP better @Zoe7! You put it brilliantly. 🙂

Re: I feel...

The funny thing is @Queenie @outlander it is part of the DBT program but I have been using it with kids at school for a long time. I remember using a shorter version of it sometime back with Outlander too - it makes you more aware of where YOU are in a situation wihtout all the emotions getting in the way (Smiley Surprised). It also helps you to breath before any course of action - just the act of consciously breathing is often enough to bring you back to the present and be able to proceed with a clearer mind.

Hey it works with the kids so why not us Smiley Very Happy

Re: I feel...

Haha thanks @outlander - I'm on it!

Re: I feel...

yep i remember that @Zoe7 then you often get me to do th Zoe Method- oh you should teach Queenie that! of course- whatever works- the kids cant have everything 😉

Re: I feel...

Oh @outlander The Zoe Method is a bit special - only do that for you usually but our @Queenie is a bit special too so maybe.....!!!!!!!

Re: I feel...

you sure are! @Jupiter

@Queeniedoes having STOP, your stress balls and the reminders sound ok for helping with your anger?

Re: I feel...

aww @Zoe7  well i find it rather helpful! Heart

Re: I feel...

Sounds like a plan @outlander! Thanks @Jupiter and @Zoe7! 🙂

Re: I feel...

The Zoe Method is more to use when you are thinking negatively @outlander - it doesn't work as well when someone is angry but can be used after stop and breathe.

Re: I feel...

oh yes! @Zoe7 still helps me either way not so much when im angry no, but i am gratfeul youve helped me out with that (more than once!)

@Queeniewould you like to work on some anxiety/overwhelm strategies? have you got any that work well for you atm?
