Re: The great yoga adventure

Did bridge..... got a MASSIVE bottom cramp. It's harder than it looks!!!

Re: The great yoga adventure

Lol @Former-Member - put a support under your hips if need be. The opening up of your front is a beneficial exercise.

Re: The great yoga adventure

I have weak glutes.... The physio told me to do 'bridge pose' or 'bum lifts' as I like to call them several times a week cause my glues are so weak and cause me severe lower back pain. So I think I find them much harder than most of you will.
I open up my front by doing 'cat pose' in gymnastics - it's easier to do belive it or not and doesn't require bum strength to do it.

Re: The great yoga adventure

Good evening everybody, I bridged today, did you? My world has been a bit stormy today, but I still bridged during the storm - yay for this most peculiar of yoga groups for keeping me motivated. Smiley Happy

@TheVorticon it sounds like you have a super busy week ahead. I have to say @soul, even though I have no idea what TheVorticon looks like, I can kind-of picture him in that shirt. Smiley Happy

@Anony18 a Pilates bridge definitely counts as a bridge. Smiley Happy

@Former-Member I imagine a bottom cramp is very uncomfortable...and yet I have to confess that I giggled when I read you had got one. I'm sorry, I've never heard the term bottom cramp before and it sounds much funnier than it probably is. And now I've just made myself laugh again because I accidently left out the "m" in cramp when I typed it just now. Smiley LOL Did you get to your real yoga class today???

@soul both the picture of Winnie the Pooh and the yoga emergency hotline made me super giggle. That hotline picture depicts why I super need some private lessons - I can see myself getting into that sort of a muddle at home.

Ok, well as I said, it was a bit stormy in my world today, but bridging helped. I was a bridge on the stormy ocean. Smiley Happy

Happy yoga-ing.

Ps. @Former-Member I super liked that you mentioned you do yoga. Do you want to join the most peculiar yoga group in the world? Smiley Happy

Re: The great yoga adventure

Glad you made it through the storm @Phoenix_Rising. Yoga does help.

My class today was a lot better in that there were only five students. Not sure why the last two days were so busy. We bridged today but it also had a variation in that we put our leg straight up - one at a time. Added an extra challenge to the pose.

Anyone else been bridging today?

Re: The great yoga adventure

Was building bridges today @Phoenix_Rising - metaphorically and physically (i.e., yoga-ing)! 😛
