So warming and reassuring to be thought of on the forums as our struggles become a tad too much at times..

thank you ...

It has finally sunk in that for the most of my life I have strived so hard for my mother and sister to notice me for who I am..to stop telling me how I should be..stop the comments.....stop telling me that I am difficult...stop being upset with me when I am assertive or state my differing opinion in general conversation...

I now realise that they are never going to see it from my point of view...they don't look at things from another point of view..

So the relationship that I have pined for will never be....I am now accepting what is....at the same time as what suits....so there will be boundary setting...there will be changes..

mother is happy with her decision...so be it....

when sister returns from overseas ...I shall reassess mother situation then....the relationships will never again be the same..

Most importantly..so be it...

I thought younger son driving up to visit Tuesday night...

then turned up as a surprise....my heart melted...had a lovely afternoon chatting..

he worked out that I was upset and drove up straight away.....got a great big..long hug..

I hope that everyone had some lighthearted moments today..

What a lovely surprise with your son turning up like he did with a big warm hug! Beautiful moments to cherish..

My husband spoilt me rotten all day - took me out to lunch, then made me dinner - waiting on me hand and foot, and I am not even his mother lol. I am so blessed to have him. And my daughter sent me a loving text and gift as she is away at the moment. It was a wonderful day. Sweet dreams @Sophia1
