The magic of tidying

My tidying efforts faltered for several days but today I tackled papers  Lots of filing, some shredding

I am going to get stuck into my desk area. Need to move the computer and modem and find other homes for things. Need to pack away the desk and decide if need to chuck it. Getting aircon installed there next Friday. Oh also need to remove whiteboard from wall and maybe clean the wall.

@Oaktree it would be good to keep the desk as a work space especially if you ever write eg memoirs. My desk is cluttered and occasionally the cat knocks stuff off. I need to regas the  office chair.

It's good you're getting a/c. If it's a reverse cycle split system it should cut your heating bills. I haven't figured out all the controls on mine yet.

I do have a couple of other desks. My son left one in his old room and I have another one in the front room.

Yes the aircon is split system. I am pretty excited about getting it as I have never had aircon in my life before

I just got busy and moved the computer and monitors into the front room. Cleaned the desk. Took the paintings and the monthly planner off the walls. Removed all the screws. Tomorrow I will take the desk apart and store it away. I also need to clean the walls and the floor behind where the desk has been standing for years.

I usually don’t get much done so I am pleased I haven’t left it all to the last minute. There is quite a bit to get done. I underestimated it really

I just washed the two walls where the air conditioner is going and I got down on my hands and knees and scrubbed the floor by the walls. Just need to grab the ladder and clean the tops of the walls where I couldn’t reach. They don’t look that much better despite all the effort gone to.
