Re: The magic of tidying

Game on, @Oaktree . I'll concentrate on the kitchen too.

Re: The magic of tidying

@Dimity

I will check in with you tomorrow afternoon and I will report on my progress

Re: The magic of tidying

Great!

@Oaktree

Re: The magic of tidying

Sounds serious @Dimity  Hope you come up with a Plan. Maybe it involves getting help ,?

Re: The magic of tidying

@Dimity

I have a Christmas lunch tomorrow so was worried I wouldn’t get my agreed job done. So I went ahead and did it tonight. The bench is a bit wet but I am going to just let it dry by itself as I am not in a hurry to use it.

Re: The magic of tidying

One day at a time @Dimity

Make a list and cross them off as you go xx

When is your surgery? And I hope you have some help to help you

Re: The magic of tidying

@Dimity 👏🏼 YAY look at you go❣️ I sincerely hope your surgery goes smoothly.

I cannot paint the interior of an A-Frame in 40*degree heat, build furniture, make GP appointment, respond to Centrelink and my lawyer’s requests.

My physical, emotional and mental health must come first.

Re: The magic of tidying

A+ for  Achievement @Oaktree !!! Totally clear and clean!  I haven't started yet but there'll still be stuff as I can't fit it all in the cupboards. Since doctors orders to cut back tea and coffee drinking I have too many varieties of teabags to get through.

@Shaz51 @TAB I'm mulling what help would look like.  I had an aged care assessment a couple of weeks ago but don't expect much if anything, and there's always a long wait. I went through an online platform to get help when I had my scary eye surgery coming up. This op is the first week of February so with the holiday season there's not much time to line up help preparing.

Re: The magic of tidying

you could still make enquiries ? @Dimity do you have a contact for accessing things ?

Hope it goes okay anyway

Re: The magic of tidying

Hugs @Glisten I can understand the overwhelm. One thing at a time, everything in its season and it's definitely not the season for painting.

Furniture sounds like a longterm project and maybe a respite from other hard slog since you enjoy it so much.

Booking Gp would  be a priority to stay on top of physical and mental health - there might be more of a wait over the next few weeks so get in early.

Centrelink and lawyer sound daunting so pace yourself. Are they time-critical?

I need to break down my own tasks too but it's hard to get my head around what needs to be done. Mostly decluttering and doing as much heavy work as I can.
