Dec's Guide to the Night Sky for Amateur Astromomers - including Melbourne weather

Re: Dec's Guide to the Night Sky for Amateur Astromomers - including Melbourne weather

Hi @outlander@Shaz51@utopia

It was a brilliantly clear and starry night last night - at around 3,00 am I was outside thinking how wonderful the sky was

I could see Jupiter followed by Mars and then Scorpio with the star Antares so clearly and so brilliantly - it would have been so great to have had all of you out there with me

We are with you @Owlunar in your ❤

Re: Dec's Guide to the Night Sky for Amateur Astromomers - including Melbourne weather

Yes of course @outlander

If I get up early in the morning and I can see the stars and planets I will shout out loud and know everyone interested will be outside looking into easter before dawn

I love it

Sounds good to me! @Owlunar

Re: Dec's Guide to the Night Sky for Amateur Astromomers - including Melbourne weather

Yes - that's on then - I hope to sleep better tonight than I have for a couple of nights but if not - I am pretty sure we are in for a clear night tonight

But of course @outlander - I live in Melbourne - the weather could be anything tomorrow esp if they have forecast a hot day tomorrow

Hi @Zoe7

I woke up very early this morning and I saw something like this in the eastern sky with Jupiter high in the sky - now this is really hard for me

                                                  *Jupiter

                                                                                    ^

                                                                               ^               +Antares

                                                                            ^             *Mars

                                                                                                                     *Saturn

That is hard work

* Planets

+ Star - Antares in constellation Scorpio

^ Three stars in the tale of the Scorpion

Now I am wondering if this will come out as I hope it does

I tried to edit that @Zoe7 - as I said - not at all easy - Saturn should be on the other side of the page

Re: Dec's Guide to the Night Sky for Amateur Astromomers - including Melbourne weather

Yes @Zoe7

Jupiter

                                               Mars

                                                                                                       Saturn

Re: Dec's Guide to the Night Sky for Amateur Astromomers - including Melbourne weather

That's better - it's easier if I leave the stars out but they looked glorious this morning @Zoe7
