Do your stepchildren treat you like 'mum'?-- good question my friend , the youngest one calls me mum , the next one is mummy`s boy , the older 2 send me text messages and will ring up

I know they love me in their own way , my daughter inlaw  does not talk to me -- I don`t know why ??

the oldest step daughter does not want another mum , soo i am happy to be her friend

best way to be shaz is be yourself.

i have told my husband that i respect his children but we are not doing brady bunch they are his children same as my children are mine.

his children are in 40's and 50's are hot and cold so I just smile alot. I engage in polite conversation. I hate game players.

@Shaz51, sounds really hard, but you seem to be handling it well. Hope hubby is a good dad to them. Its better to be kinda 'friends' when they're older I find. I pray a lot for them. 🌷

@Former-Member you asked --- Hope hubby is a good dad to them, yes  a way lot better then their mum , which is sad , she only wants them when she wants them , then she wants nothing to do with them again

The children love their dad (my hubby) I feel sad for the one close to his mum as he has MI problems now , and the other 3 have created a life for themselves , they have different degree of Depression and anxiety as the Inherited depression runs in the family

My step daughter gave me a lovely mother`s day present and she told me thank you , because she thought all mums would be the same
