New Year's Eve Forum Party

Re: New Year's Eve Forum Party

@Former-Member Happy New Year NellBell wishing you a wonderful  and kind 2018! xxxxHeart

Re: New Year's Eve Forum Party

So boyfriend is on call and is stuck at work for the whole day.
I'm trying to keep my spirits up.
I have Netflix, a book to read, apps to try out.

Oh yeah and I have to eat!

Re: New Year's Eve Forum Party

@Former-Member ..... just an FYI ......

Every time you edit a post it re-sends so everyone can take note of whatever was edited. Usually when you get many repeats of what appears to be the same message, it is because the person has gone back to add to it, or subtract from it, edit spelling etc .......

Thought I would mention it because others may be wondering the same thing, and it can be a tad confusing ......

Skim reading the edits will generally alert you to whatever the changes have been.

Re: New Year's Eve Forum Party

Or we could just get rid of the edit post function entirely!??!??!?!
I've opined many times about how much I hate it and how much it annoys me off. @Former-Member
PLEASE PLEASE GET RID OF THE EDIT BUTTON!!!!!!

Re: New Year's Eve Forum Party

@Former-Member Hahahaha! I have to ask why does it bother you so much 5-HT?

Re: New Year's Eve Forum Party

Hey @Former-Member

I'm happy to make a note of your suggestion in my shift report. Managers read them, so your message should make it to the people that need to hear it.

Cheers,

Victor.

Re: New Year's Eve Forum Party

I guess cause I've had some bad experiences where I was feeling really unwell and I found someone else's post really triggering and I found the 27 emails of the edited and re-edited post really hard to deal with.
There have been other instances where someone has written something I found offensive and when I (over)reacted, they then went back to change what they had written to make me look like a crazy person - which is a classic example of gaslighting.
In addition, it just generates heaps of emails into peoples accounts, often for no important reason. (And people don't know they can turn those email notifications off).
So yes, I REALLY REALLY hate the edit button!

Re: New Year's Eve Forum Party

@Former-Member Fair enough I will vote with you to delete the wretched edit button!! 🙂

Re: New Year's Eve Forum Party

I know we'er probably not allowed to talk about this kind of stuff on here..... but I really really feel like a brownie atm.
Pity it potentiates psychotic episodes for me. But still, a nice brownie and a cup of tea would be very good right now.
Sorry @Victor!

Re: New Year's Eve Forum Party

@Former-Member many sites dont have them ... once you have posted that is it and if you delete your post for whatever reason they look at you sideways ... I never use it really probably a handful of times if I think I may have accidently insulted someone but you can always write an apology later on so it is not a biggy.
