Haha I like that @Zoe7   saying you would have your friend home by daylight just not specify which day..................................I don't know how we did it........young and full of boundless energy.........................my friend and i hung around the casino mainly and wasn't long before all the staff knew our names and we became VIP members of the disco lol.

Re: Happy new year!

We always ended up at the Casino also @Scarecrowe 'cos it was the last place open - think it closed about 5am then we would head for breakfast and then home. We knew the bouncers and bar staff quite well too - would even go with some of them to Industry night during the week ....we were of course on holidays at the time too so no commitments.

Re: Happy new year!

They have and each time it is on I think how cheesy it is - but still watch it @Scarecrowe

Re: Happy new year!

I've got the ABC on now and the 70s are up next @Scarecrowe - so switch it on if you are able to.

Re: Happy new year!

It is cheesy but I love cheesy movies lol @Zoe7

But so many people think that the movie was true and that is how The Village People came about..........................come on people really!!!!!!  lol

Okay everyone ... Hows it been going?  Its been a while since dinner ... anyone feeling a bit peckish?  I brought goodies.

Anyone like prawns and oysters?  Fresh oysters from Tassie .. they have the best. Never used to like fresh oysters until I had them on Bruny Island some 5 years or so ago.  Now I love them.

How about a yummy cheese platter?  Oh dear me .. this wasnt meant to be an advert for Tassie.  BUT .. well  ... Tassie also have the best cheeses and creams.

How about a yummy home-made apple pie.  Apples from ... you guessed it ... Tasmania!  And the (real) cream from King Island.

And after all that pre turn-of-the-decade feasting ... how about we all go for a walk along the beach?

Any takers?  I love walking on the beach after the sun goes down. Just listening to the water.

Re: Happy new year!

I will have the apple pie @Former-Member - don't eat shell fish or cheese so apple pie is all mine Smiley Surprised

I don't think I'llmake it to the beach tomorrow morning - keeping my eyelids open with match sticks already LOL but have wonderful company here so that is helping.
