Hi little sis @Former-Member
Hope you have spent some quality time today with your Mum and Kira.
Did you end up going to see a movie with your friend?
I still haven't been to sleep since the two hours this morning and am not far away from crashing, so probably won't be around for much longer tonight. Hopefully can catch up before I fall asleep but if not hope you get some sleep yourself tonight.
Love and hugs to you and Kira

Hi sis @Zoe7
I did spend some time with my mum today, we went for a drive this afternoon and just been relaxing at home. No, I don't go to movies with my friend, the movie was on early today. But she did text ask me to meet up for dinner and I asked if she wanted to meet up closer to my place and she basically said no. To be honest I am over the one to always put in the effort and drive down to see her, its about 100km round trip for me to go down there.
I ended up cooking dinner for me, Kira and my mum- it was quite nice. I cooked Kira dinner, and me and my mum had lamb chops and sweet poatato chips and for dessert we had some fruit salad & ice cream.
I hope you sleep well tonight, I am working at the zoo tomorrow- its meant to rain. I will probably will not be online until sometime tomorrow night, most likely after dinner. Looking forward to Tuesday to sign up for masters swimming. Talk to u soon sis

Hi lil sis @Former-Member
Just finished the washing up and waiting for some washing to finish. We have had so much rain this afternoon so haven't even been outside.
So glad to hear you have spent some time with your mum. Hope the drive was to somewhere nice and relaxing.
I think the fact your 'friend' isn't prepared to meet you closer to your place speaks volumes about her. If she isn't able to compromise and at least go out of her way a little then she is not thinking about you and only herself. Meeting closer to you is very fairand she is just being selfish.
Your dinner sounds lovely. I had leftover KFC - not ideal but too tired to cook!
I'm going to the big bash cricket tomorrow night (Hobart Hurricanes vs Adelaide Strikers) - don't fall of your chair or bed or whatever you are sitting on - yes I'm going somewhere with noise and crowds. I bought the tickets today. My sister is going to come with me. Am a bit worried about how I'll cope but trying not to let it get to me until I get there and see how I feel. I will take me meds with me- just in case it's too much. Will be the first time I've been in that kind of environment for several years - big step!!!
I'd say look out for me but that would be a bit hard LOL.
The game starts around 7pm and finishes about 10pm. Usually takes a while to get out of their because the parking is awful and the roads out all converge into one - a real nightmare!! Probably won't be home until around 10:30 -11pm. Will jump online then.
Pleased you are still going to sign up to masters on Tuesday
Have a great time at the zoo your big sis xxx

Hi sis @Zoe7
I've just done the washing up too and folded up the washing. We've had not much rain, but apparently it is meant to start tomorrow, and I think its going to rain all week. I love the smell of the rain especially when its been hot. The best smell ever I think, one of the best anyway.
It was a nice drive in the car, and we stopped off, and had coffee on the way back home.
I've just walked Kira for 30mins hopefully tire her out a bit and me too lol. It was nice to be out cool night air and Kira enjoyed her walk- she is still very active.
I hope you enjoyed your KFC- I might have that tomorrow night. I'll have to get Kira some too.
Have fun tomorrow night at the cricket- I wish I was going too. You will have to come with something between now and then so I can recognise you, how about our new year eve attire?. Plus a banner this will be good for the new business and our shirts lol. You will need to make two- one for the new shirts and one for me lol.
I will come online around 9.30ish tomorrow night and enjoy the cricket. I am so proud of you sis.

@Former-Member Still up - washing hasn't finished yet. I love that smell also followed by the smell of freshly cut grass - both smells nice and makes you feel like you have accomplished something.
I think a purple (Hurricane colours) banner that just says aaawww NUUUTS! simple, easy to see - what do you think? Should stand out ina crowd - and my white Liverpool FC capis always on!!! Shame I can't take Toby in with me - you'd recognise him (and he WOULD stand out). Don't think I could smuggle him in as my assistance dog!!!!
I have just received a message from someone who was a friend who I haven't had any contact with in years. Not because we fell out or anything like that, she had a family and moved away and we just lost touch over time. You wouldn't believe where she is living - and no not the Gold Coast - but not far. She's in Kingscliff - not far from Tweed Heads (but I'm sure you already know that). Seems like the universe is beginning to align for me. Remember that trip up the coast I mentioned would be nice a while ago - well it is looking more and more likely now!!!! Would love to see her again - such a lovely soul - and the boys must be around 8 and 10 years old now.

@Zoe7 Next winter meaning 2018 for a trip to Gold Coast?
You could always come to Hawaii with me another time, this trip will not be my last. I am hoping to go the footie when it starts up NRL. I will see Titans VS Roosters and the week after is Broncos VS Cowboys. I have not been on a road trip in a while- the last long roadtrip was when I drove back up Townsville in 09. I have always been in charge of the driving too, but my Dad always helped too depending on who I was driving with and if I was with My Pop I would help him with the driving too.
I have noticed a clear discharge from Kira's eye not sure if I should take her to the vet, she is due for her needles 12/1/2017. I will phone to get her in this wk, I can't remember if I told you but Kira has had many operations for cancer in the last three and a bit years. She had three operations in the last year but she is so strong.
I am going to be up a bit longer too, I am enjoying just chatting with you sis

@Former-Member I've only had 2 hours sleep in the last 36 hours so a bit longer won't hurt me!
I'm actually thinking winter 2017 trip to the Gold Coast.Take a few weeks long service leave in winter and get out of the cold. Will probably need a break then anyway if I go back for Term 1- (that's looking more and more possible now).
Then 2018 or 19 maybe Hawaii here we come!!!!!
I'll have to force you to come to an AFL game with me - Brisbane vs Gold Coast would be interesting
I think we might fight over the driving though - I do like driving - it is a control thing (I know that). My sister and her fiance just presume I'll be driving if they come to the beach with me - they don't even question it now. A couple of years ago we were going somewhere and her fiance asked why we were going the way I was going. I said because it is the quickest at this time of day. He started to question it and my sister said - trust me she would have measured and timed it! And I had - see control freak in the car!
How old is your little girl? Geez you've had a tough time with illness close to you sis.Where has her cancer been? Take her to the vet as soon as you can - she's your baby Could just be something in her eye irritating under the eyelid - Toby gets that all the time, especially when I haven't cut around his eyes. Then it clears up in a few days. But Kira doesn't have that issue so get it looked at.

@Zoe7 I wish I had your energy sis
Kira's had cancer on her front paw, which was probably the more serious April 13th 2015.
The others have been located:
two on her back leg
two on her torso
one on her front leg
and she another one on her chest and legs (these one have been minor)
Kira turned ten on the tenth of Dec 2016. Her cancer started a few months before her 7th Birthday
I think the break away and taking some long service leave will do you good- some nice sunshine- we do have beautiful winter days here. I guess you twist my arm and I will go to a AFL game lol.
Kira's eyes I am not too worried about but it probably needs some sort of treatment I have noticed it for a little while, just a clear discharge from her eye. I did a google search and it could be inflammation of the eye or something like that and if left untreated it can affect her eye sight.
In between her operations she is back to vet every two months for a checkup and with her paw she was there for months the leadup to her operation with chemo and then a few weeks of dressings post op.
I think she had about 5 months without surgery and the longest has been around 18months without surgery. The vet takes her in staright away to operate on her and he is such a nice guy as well as a great vet. Because she has soon much much energy she has been so good when she has had her operation.
I'm thinking you might be asleep now sis I am not sure. I can't believe you have been awake for so long, I did it when I was younger lol. I went to Hungry Jacks and I was that tired I asked for a buble burger lol. I think I wanted a bacon deluxe burger lol.

@Former-Member Really - a buble burger - that's hilarious
Your poor little baby. I don't think I would cope at all if that was Toby. I'm glad you've got a great vet. My vet is amazing too. She has fitted me in several times between other appointments. At the beginning of when I was really sick I had to take my cat in to get a tooth out. I was so sick I couldn't stand up properly - really shouldn't have been driving. She found me asleep in the car in the carpark a few hours later.
Kira's birthday is the same month as mine -little sagittarian puppy dog! The vet told me to get some normal saline from the chemist to wash Toby's eyes when they get any discharge. It clears any dirt or grit out and soothes the eye at the same time. You can get it in small tubes.
I think you should try and get some sleep soon - you'll need to be awake tomorrow to deal with those pesky tourists and the cute little joeys again maybe!
