Evening @frog and thanks for the tag. @saturnzoon are you around? You often tag me on Friday Feast, but I havent seen you around for a bit. Hope you are okay.
Cold roast chicken and salad here tonight. Its my husband and my 22nd wedding anniversary today. But he has gone into town with his mate to a pub for drinks. Usually I would cook a special dinner for our anniversary, but I have no idea what time he will be home. So tonight its something quick and easy that I can throw on the table when he comes home likely drunk and demanding.
Big bushfires all around us here. Been a weird orange glow all day as the sun tries to shine through thick smoke. Got water bombing choppers and fire retardant carrying planes flying around here everywhere. Got an RFS text earlier to advise areas around here to prepare to evacuate. Im on the alert for spotfires and embers ahead of strong gusty wind. Keep going outside to check. If this wind would just drop off, we will be fine.
Sherry

Hi @frog taco night sounds good to me. I just had pasta salad with some crackers - too lazy to do anything else tonight.
@Former-Member oh dear re husband likely to come home d & d - particularly on your wedding anniversary and especially when you have fires in your area. Stay safe won't you. There's an app called 'fires near me' that my bro and sil use and they say it's really good. Gives you progress updates on anything near you or heading your way. Sounds like it would be a good idea to gather some important papers and a few precious things like photo albums together just in case you do have to leave at short notice. I gave my uncle the same advice the weekend before last and in the end the fires did get within 1km of his home so it was good he was organized. Because I went through cyclone tracy and many years of cyclone seasons up north I am all for having a plan of action in advance. Will be thinking of you.
