@Adge, we get some middling weather early next week, otherwise coolish and slightly wet...
I'm impatient to get my summer vegs going. I don't think we'll get any more frost, but they'll sulk if the soil's still cold. (They need warm socks perhaps?)

Speaking of babies @Adge, we've had one of the local magpie couples hatch out a couple of chicks in a tree next to our house. Haven't been swooped once, which is a vote of confidence from the parents. They've gone from squawky babies to noisy juveniles so quickly. Still begging their parents for food all the time, despite being well feathered enough to fly around themselves.

Yes Warm Socks for your Vegies (I'm not sure how to do that) @Smc
I'm sure they would appreciate that.
Soil hot & dry here (& pure sand)....

Whew @TAB, it's 10:00 here! Time zones get really tricky once Daylight Silly Time kicks in. Sleep well.

Yes I'm very familiar with the juvenile Magpie sound @Smc When they make that begging sound ("Mummy give me food"), I know it's a young one.
Plus they're paler, not fully coloured yet.
Baby Magpies in the nest is one thing that I've never seen.
Our WA Magpies are White-Backed Magpies - they look & sound very different from the eastern Black-Backed Magpies.

Hee Hee Daylight Silly Time (you said) @Smc Thankfully we don't have that here.
The Business Lobby keeps on trying to force it on us (in WA).
The last Referendum (Vote) we had on it (the 5th DST Referendum) - was the highest "No Vote" ever (70% No).

@Adge, the nest was way up the top of the tree, so I couldn't see them, but I spotted the adults flying to and from the nest. I've been tracking their progress by how many young 'uns I was hearing, but didn't actually see them until they started venturing out of the nest.
