Eliminating or reducing chronic (everyday) flashbacks

Re: Eliminating or reducing chronic (everyday) flashbacks

@creative_writer yes the thoughts are not always accurate but in those moments it's hard to believe or think of anything else. That gross feeling is definitely not reflective of you. You are amazing and you are strong and we can get through this ♥️.

Today I've been mostly laying on my lounge with my puppy. I did some washing, dishes, a tiny bit of my puzzle, listened to music, watched my TV shows and some movies. What did you get up to today, what TV show are you watching?

Re: Eliminating or reducing chronic (everyday) flashbacks

@RiverSeal I think a lot of us can relate to the gross feeling. I would love to hear about your experiences with psychosis and can’t imagine what it is like💖. Though I do know what it is like to feel crazy to experience a flashback, like I know nothing is happening to me right now, but it’s so frightening. It does make me feel insane.

I’m doing a bit better, just trying to distract myself tonight.

@Dreamy sounds like a chill and nourishing evening 💖. Pets can make a huge difference, they’re so adorable and lift your mood. What kind of breed is your puppy. Im watching Kurulus Osman with English subtitles

@creative_writer it's been a pretty rough day and I haven't really had the energy to do anything other than tasks that I know i have to do. My puppy Casper is a labrador, he is my assistance dog in training ♥️. Have you got any plans for tomorrow?

Cool! Keep an eye out for a post tomorrow @creative_writer! Glad to hear you are doing a bit better 🙂 RiverSeal ❤️

Re: Eliminating or reducing chronic (everyday) flashbacks

Hehe @RiverSeal, I mean you can have virtual cuddles 😂

Re: Eliminating or reducing chronic (everyday) flashbacks

@Dreamy he’s adorable. I’m going to be going to an event tomorrow, I think getting out of the house may help. Do you have plans for tomorrow?

@RiverSeal I’ll keep an eye out for it. I didn’t know about your struggles with psychosis, but it does sound rough. I’ve heard people talk about their experiences. I feel like there is so much stigma around psychosis, which is unfortunate

Re: Eliminating or reducing chronic (everyday) flashbacks

@creative_writer thankyou 😊. Oh going to an event sounds good, getting out of the house can be helpful, I hope you enjoy it. I don't have any plans but I do have to go to the shops and get things ready for the week.

Re: Eliminating or reducing chronic (everyday) flashbacks

@Dreamy getting out can help. Do you have much coming up this week. I have appointments this coming week. I’m hoping things settle soon emotionally, I know I’ve gone a bit backwards, it’s just been hard to sit with discomfort. My psych wanted me to get used to it in short bouts. Maybe today was just a write off day. I had been doing better otherwise

Re: Eliminating or reducing chronic (everyday) flashbacks

@creative_writer i have some appointments this week aswell although I'm not sure how I'm going to go with them. Sometimes things will go backwards but that's ok, it's all a part of the healing process. You are still doing amazing even when you have days like this, it doesn't erase your progress, it's just another bump in the road that you can get over ♥️.
