Hey @Snowie it’s good to hear from you. I’m sorry that you ended up where you did but I’m glad you are safe and at home now.

No place like home hey @Snowie hon
no appointments for me today. No contact from my SW either. Oh well.
D and I went down the coast for a lifeline book fair. Massive sports stadium, like 4 basketball courts, full of tables of books! D got the biggest haul! Most of our books were between $2- 4. I added some more to my collection and also got some old books to do book sculptures with.
also found out that my brother is allowed to come back up here when mum comes back. Just for 9 days. Some of his tumors have shrunk and others haven’t changed in size.
how’s your mum doing?

I’m up and down @Snowie Some days are good and some are crap if that makes sense.
Tonight I’m very happy as my kids have done really well in a state comp. I wish I could post photos and tell you all about it…I’m so so proud of them.

Sorry @Bow Fell asleep early last night.
I forgot yesterday was Friday. Thinking it was Thursday for some reason. Struggling with days and dates atm.
Can your SW contact you on weekends if needed?
That book fair sounds wonderful. Something D and I would go to.
It's really great the your D is into reading. With so much on line these days and kids glued to their screens, it is wonderful that your D likes to read, from a book!
Cheap too, thats a bonus!
I think taking her out of school was a great idea. Sometimes they learn so much more on days like that.
Thats great news about your brother hon and that you get to spend some time with him.
My mum is ok. She is becoming very argumentative and quick to tell me if I'm doing something wrong. She has always been very opinionated, but I think with the Dementia it is getting worse.
We are just waiting to get approval cleared for respite and then she will do that for a few weeks and check it out.
I hope today goes well for you hon 💗💗

I can understand that @Eve7 Sometimes we think we've turned a corner and it just comes crashing down on us again. Even more frustrating is we don't know if the day will be a good one from one day to another.
Well done on your athletes hon. You should be proud of them. But you need to take some credit too. Without your training they wouldn't be so successful.
I hope today is one of those good days hon. Sending lots of 💕💕

Good morning hon @Snowie early to sleep is a good thing! You must of needed. Took me a while to nod off last night which was annoying.
There are SW’s on over the weekend but I don’t think mine is cause she worked last weekend. Whoever is on may call me to check in… but who knows. Someone was suppose to call me Thursday but they didn’t.
yeah D is usually not keen to have a day off school she loves school that much but she was excited about this! I even joked as we drove past on the way home offering to drop her off for the last 1.5hrs and she wanted to! We did have a nice day although once she found the books she wanted she was ready to go home! Mine were harder to find. So next time we go we will take some snacks and whatever for her to sit and do while I keep searching.
Yep will be nice to see my bro. It’s been a couple of years. Just a shame it’s only for 9 days.
Fingers crossed that that approval comes through for your mum soon hon. And that she likes the respite place. Is this where you are hoping she will go long term if it works out?
And how are you doing? Got much on over the weekend?

Hi @Bow
Been busy today. Had a baptism for a neighbours child. Then went out for lunch to a pub. We were near Hubbys mums house so called in to visit her too.
Finally home and back into comfy clothes.
Was a struggle just being around people. Had to do the smiling and talking things. Pretending everything was just fine. Managed with prn and H by my side.
Where mum is going for respite is the same place that she would move into full time. So suss it out before she commits to it.
I hope your day is going ok hon.

Hi @Jynx
Love comfy clothes!
Big day, glad I'm home and can take that mask off, will be an early night here.
Still have to wait for approval for respite. Normally about a 6-8 week wait.
I hope your day is going well.
