@Former-Member @greenpea Most of us have 'preferred' threads that we 'participate' in for different reasons. I know a lot of people see them as 'their' threads but I actually find that term to be quite isolating - especially for newer members trying to 'find their feet' on here. In all honesty - it makes me feel like I don't 'belong' on some threads at times - so I can only imagine how newer members must feel. This is a real bugbear of mine - I think it is mainly because referring to a thread as 'mine' elicits a sense of ownership and not inclusivity. In saying that, however, I agree with you @Former-Member that everyone has a responsibility (no matter the thread) to be mindful of the conversation, participants and potential triggers for those involved (this last one is more difficult but gaining an understanding of 'the flow' of the conversation before posting is not difficult - and most of us are 'aware' of certain vulnerabilites that our fellow members have).
..and @greenpea we are our own worst enemies sometimes. Like Nell said - no-one is worse off than another - we are just dealing with different (and sometimes similar) things. If you need support yourself then ask. I know I, for one, would be more than happy to support you when I can

@Zoe7I completly agree with you. I find I prefer to stay on a few threads only as it becomes too overwhelming for me. It is a very tricky road to navigate sometimes

@greenpea I know what Hanukkah is my little green pea - it actually started yesterday and finishes on the 20th (eight days in total). *Zoe flutters off to google how she is going to make a green pea fit for Hanukkah *
