Riding a wave

Re: Riding a wave

Good night @Phoenix_Rising 🙂 Thank you for your super validating reply to my post about feeling invalidated 😉

Sleep well tonight

Re: Riding a wave

Goodight little turtle - I am in the cave tonight and not coming out for a while again @Phoenix_Rising - so glad the underwater cave is a safe place for this little flutterby - thanks for allowing me to 'take up temporary residence' in there Smiley Very Happy

Re: Riding a wave

Good morning @CheerBear and @Zoe7,

@CheerBear I noticed you had a few moments of the ahhhh-what-did-I-do-wrong feeling last night. Yay for it being just some sort of technical glitch. Otherwise Zoe7 might have had to make you a warning label too. Smiley LOL I am super glad FancyPants responded quickly and you weren't left wondering for...say...48hours - cos that SUCKS!

I have just posted something on the DBT thread. I'm thinking I want to hold off posting my next bit of the introduction until Monday. I'll see how long the last bit is (the bit that I was planning to do last Sunday before I fell into the moderator muddle) and if it isn't too long, I'll add it to the existing bit that I have ready to go. Does this sound like a plan? And then it will be your turn to post the next bit. I don't want to post too often because I want to give people space to jump in if they want to. And anyway, I still haven't got back to reading the comments made here on the ocean re. the whole manipulation thing yet and I super want to do that.

Hey...I am deliberately not tagging any Forumites into the DBT thread because I know it is quite intense. I super badly want to hear more from some of the people that were at Topic Tuesday but it somehow doesn't feel ok to tag them. What do you guys think?

Re: Riding a wave

I very much thought of you last night @Phoenix_Rising and how much my tiny teeny little moment could have been like a fleeting version of what you may have felt.

Sounds like a great plan! I think it's worth holding off in between giving out big loads of info to give people time and space to process and respond if they'd like, too. I will keep chipping away at my overview post and trying to reduce it from novel sized 😛 I am super busting to get into skills but practicing my patience knowing this will be worth it.

As for tagging people in, I'm not sure about it either sorry. I sit in grey here too 😉

Re: Riding a wave

Oh and as a random thing that made me giggle this morning @Phoenix_Rising , I was off looking around for a "Meet Cheer Bear" infographic thing for the avatar thread. It was way too sickly sweet to post (even for me haha) but I came across this photo of me that I think looks like how I do when I head off towards the DBT HQ desk

Maybe we should ask the clever NikNik or Lauz about our tagging puzzle???

Re: Riding a wave

Hahaha! That's awesome @Phoenix_Rising 😂 I love your expression!

I think asking the clever Lauz or NikNik is a great idea. I admit to having felt a little nervous about our adventure being that it is not a self-help book at all. But like you, I genuinely believe in it's (and this adventure's) potential to be very valuable, so I had some working out for myself to do. I felt a big sense of relief when it was welcomed as well as it has been. I think they would be great people to check with ☺

Re: Riding a wave

Hey @Phoenix_Rising and @CheerBear!

I was thinking about your puzzle as I am watching over forum land this morning.

I think its a really great idea to tag the members from Topic Tuesday and it just comes down to how you word it Smiley Happy

I would recommend doing a post in that thread tagging those members and saying something along the lines of how much you enjoyed the discussion with them on Topic Tuesday and that you thought they may be interested in this DBT thread. Let them know that it can be quite intense and there is no pressure to get involved but that you just wanted to let them know of its existence.

I think this is a great way to make members, particularly new ones feel welcomed into an active thread Heart

Re: Riding a wave

Excuse me clever @NikNik or @Former-Member,

@CheerBear and I are wondering if it would be appropriate or not to tag Forumites into the DBT thread. We recognise that it is kind-of intense and that's why we aren't sure. As I just said to CheerBear, I super want to hear more from some of the people that were around for Topic Tuesday, but I don't know if it would be appropriate to tag them. I know some of them may have come to Forum Land only for that one-off event and may not want to stick around. So...what do you think about tagging people?

Please don't crash into each other in your respective nutella jar and flying island on your way to us out here on the ocean. Smiley Happy

Re: Riding a wave

Awesome thanks @Former-Member!

Is that something you're able/wating to do @Phoenix_Rising? 🙂

(By the way, seeing as you're here at the moment Lauz - I did end up introducing my little fish to Spirited Away after hunting around for it online. We had a great night watching it together. Big in particular loved it! Just wanted to share that with you 🙂 )
