Riding a wave

Re: Riding a wave

@Faith-and-Hope it isn't a matter of me being comfortable calling the HC, it is a matter of me being allowed to call the HC. My muddle is far more muddled than anyone here knows and it puts a strain on...well...anybody who comes near me really. That is why Forum Land generally works so well - there is a buffer between all of you and the bigness of my muddle.

Having said that, I have now spoken to someone from the HC and we have a plan going forward. As I knew would happen, a brief call has massively shifted everything. I knew I knew what I needed. It's just trying to get what I need that is the tricky bit. Smiley Frustrated

The storm is already starting to settle now. We have a plan. I feel much less alone for having actually spoken to someone. Super big thank you for "reading" stories to me @CheerBear. We need to put this in our toolkit. I super love both the crayon stories. You are right, the second one is extra funny. My favourite bit is the bit about the dog eating the crayon.

I only just started listening to the story about the rabbit when the next giant wave hit. I will listen to that one while I settle my big feelings a bit more so that I can then do the steps in the plan that the person and I came up with. Thank you for helping me keep my 100% success rate intact CheerBear. See, this DBT stuff does work! Thank you for being my DBT study buddy. Smiley Happy

Re: Riding a wave

Plans, like options, are something I think are awesome @Phoenix_Rising and I'm really glad to hear you have a plan 🙂

You're very welcome and thank you for reading along with me and being a totally inspiring and amazing DBT study buddy and role model (and keeping me company while I mowed). My book voices are way better than the youtube narrators ones aren't they? 😉

Big yay for still having an intact success rate of 100%. It was scary and shaky for a bit, but you did it!

Re: Riding a wave

@Phoenix_Rising I am sorry I have been absent today since this morning - the day has not gone as I planned - but I can see how much wonderful support you have had by CB and F&H. Now that I have set up my camp on the beach that means that I am here even when I am not - so if you can't 'see' me I am most likely snuggled into the corner of my tent, with Toby, hiding from the world.

I am so pleased to see that you were able to speak to someone and you have a plan. I hope that cat 5 storm is now well out to sea and will not return.

i know this has been super, super hard for you little turtle but, as CB has said, you still have a 100% success rate of  staying alive - and that is something to celebrate...

are you ok @Phoenix_Rising

Re: Riding a wave

I'm not ok right now...but I will be. This was a massive massive massive storm and it isn't going to properly resolve for quite a while yet. But for the moment it is just about surviving. Mopping up the mess will come later.

Re: Riding a wave

I'm so sleepy but didn't want to fall asleep without one final post here today @Phoenix_Rising.

Goodnight Phoenix_Rising. I hope you sleep better tonight.

Re: Riding a wave

Here together but not in the same time at the same place.

@Phoenix_Rising
