Riding a wave

Re: Riding a wave

I am still laughing @Phoenix_Rising but this time at your face-palm-inducing paper - omg - this marking gig is going to wear you out with boredom lol

Re: Riding a wave

BTW @Phoenix_Rising has the SANE logo in the top right hand corner of the homepage suddenly changed? or am I seeing things? This has been one confusing day little turtle - 'the muddle re; Myrtle's bum, a new mod AND a new logo' - maybe I should wrtite this on Am Not Coping - seems more appropriate (did I tell you I don't like change much either Smiley Surprised)

Re: Riding a wave

@Zoe7 Yes the SANE logo has changed. I was going to say something about it but it seems that the Universe simply doesn't appreciate the fact that I (and you) DON'T DO CHANGE!!!!!!! Smiley Very Happy

Re: Riding a wave

I suppose we could look at it this way @Phoenix_Rising - all changes made on the same day and thus all our anxiety around changes is happening all at once and not spread out - maybe a good decision by 'the powers that be' (sneaky little mods and community managers Smiley LOL)

Re: Riding a wave

@Zoe7 Marking doesn't exactly bore me...but it definitely isn't as fun as playing with data. I really want to share the face-palm moment but I know it would be inappropriate, just in case any of the students are floating around in Forum Land. It is a much less challenging assignement to mark than the previous one was. However, last time the lecturer gave me a sample paper for each grade (e.g. pass, fail, credit etc) whereas this time I don't have any examples because it is the first time this assignment has been given. I figure once I've marked a few, I'll get a feel for it and I'll probably go back and check the first ones again to make sure I'm being consistent. It really does take me a super long time - much more than I get paid for, but I super like having something constructive to do with my day. Smiley Happy

Re: Riding a wave

@Zoe7 So...that means after today there will be no more changes for...um...60 years? That will take me to a 100 years old. Oh wait, sea turtles live to 150. Ok, it's settled, after today there are to be no changes to...well...anything for the next 110 years. Smiley Happy

Re: Riding a wave

I second that motion @Phoenix_Rising Smiley LOL

Re: Riding a wave

@Zoe7 The picture appeared!!! That is super super funny. Smiley LOLSmiley LOLSmiley LOL

I'm glad we've settled the issue that there are to be no changes in anything for the next 110 years. You see? People think I'm demanding and resistant to change, but really I'm very flexible. I'm not saying no change EVER...just for the next 110 years. Smiley Very Happy

Re: Riding a wave

I think that is possibly my favourite images thus far @Phoenix_Rising - I was giglling the whole time I was putting it together Smiley LOL

I can see how flexible you are lol - not NO change EVER - just for a while (a long while) - at least you put a specific time on when change can occur - not an arbitrary 'in the future' as some would do LOL

Re: Riding a wave

I have to go back to being productive now @Zoe7. I will reappear later this evening. Smiley Happy
