It was The Nutcracker @greenpea - my favourite ballet Swan lake is a close second but I went to see The Nutcracker when I was a child and it has been my favourite ever since.

@Zoe7 beautiful. The Nutcracker and Swan Lake are both lovely ballets. I also like Giselle. They are my 3. I like the classical ballets the best. I went to them as a child too and really enjoyed them as well. I also love going to see Shakespeare plays my favorites are Romeo and Juliet, Othelo and Macbeth the tragedies not in any order.
What a wonderful way to spend a day.

I love Shakespeare too @greenpea Macbeth is my favourite play but I like his sonnets and prose too. One of my most prized books is The Complete Works of Shakespeare - I brought it back from England with me - very heavy to carry everywhere with me though lol
We have Shakespear in The Gardens at The Botanical Gardens every year - it is done by a local theatre company - I haven't been for years but should put it on my to-do list for this year - maybe I will be 'well enough' to go this year!

@Zoe7 I once saw a Japanese version of Macbeth ... quite a modern version (as there has been a couple) and Lady MacBeth was stunning. The way she moved across the screen was like a soceress/vampire taking MacBeth's soul. It was a wonderful movie.
