@Sophie1 we did not even contact darlings old doc when she changed. Just moved to the new. Did get a Call eventually asking what we were doing for scripts. Just replied we good thanks and left it at that
Not saying it is the right course of action but it is what we did. Darling finally decided she could not go back after receiving some disgraceful advice mocking our values in the process. I was delighted when she asked me to find someone new.

Oooops i posted twice by accident the same message ... my nerve pain meds are making me dizzy and fuzzy and tired ... I managed a 8 hour work day from home today so v happy - was a struggle with pain and dizziness but better for me to be occupied .. a midday nap with hot water bottle on hip helped the hip pain and tiredness - will try same thing tomoz ... my hip is horrendously sore and I begged specialist to inject me sooner - have organised Tuesday instead of Thursday so that’s great ... I also managed a walk around the park opposite my house for 10 mins - that was all I could do before pain won ... ok fuzzy and talking rubbish now ... bye and thanks x

Same deal when Insacked mine (toad was charging me for a 45min consult when I was flat out being in his room for 15min.)
I discontinued my meds after that under supervision of gp. Now taking way less.
Hope the new doc is successful for you. It makes a big difference.

Perhaps a need to weigh up adverse side effects vs any benefit re: pain meds @Sophie1. My SIL found side effects from one med unacceptable for her pain, was given an alternative which has made a huge difference.

Roger that @Former-Member re side effects vs benefit - I will be monitoring myself and assessing - not being mentally clear is not an option for my work or quality of life so that is the line I’m watching closely ... also having a bit of nausea today - but apparently that can pass ... I’m trying fisio cream for my neck and hip and lower back pain before bed tonight to see how that helps too

@Former-Member finally printed out a custom mood tracker for MsS
This tracks her
-ability to concentrate
-alertness
-anxiety
-depression
and uses a scale she defined for herself across times of day as she often is different throughout day ... and then just add head ache migraine comments below .. thought it would be good timing with new psych to be clear about current state

I do hope that it is helpful @Sophie1 and will help both pdoc and pain doc re: treatment options.

Hi @Former-Member
I am in a strange place - had three ultrasound guided injections of local anaesthetic and steroid into glute tendons and bursa around hip ... I nearly fainted during them and was pain free after but difficult to walk due to anaesthetic.. now it’s worn off I was nearly in tears and out of breath going up stairs to bed tonight with terrible 9/10 pain going upstairs but mild pain only on flat walking .. laying in spare bed now with two of my cats asleep on me and myself in pain 5/10 pain full ache ...dr said it may flare up before it gets better - she has given me pain chart to fill in at several intervals over next few days lol - lol because my life is full of charts lately ... I just did the 11.15 entry ... not sure what tomorrow will bring ... but the rain on the tin roof sounds beautiful ... as does my cat purring on my chest ... I’m anxious re tomorrow and esp anxious re using stairs again to go to kitchen tomorrow morning
