Sleep is so hard to get right @Zoe7. Lately I'm so physically active I just crash at night. A Vit-B complex with food in morning tends to wake me up more, and there's something about an apple with a coffee. Again, activity and sunshine all contribute to staying awake. But nothing wrong with going to bed early. Do you let your pets sleep on the bed with you? They can wake us, my two stay very still these cold nights. You take care xox

Hi @Former-Member
I am still having issues with my back - it is improving but still restricted in what I can do. I am aiming to increase my pool sessions to twice a week but needing some other things to fall into place to do that (including finances).
I don't drink coffee and already have supplements to help - I know the meds have a 12 hour half-life so there is going to be some effects still in the morning. It is getting that balance right. I can make it through Wednesdays with DBT and pdoc but am completely exhausted afterwards - not sure how I would go with 30 kids all day. We are aiming for 2 days a week back at work - so I need to focus on for now increasing my pool sessions to 2 days per week, continuing with DBT and then seeing how I cope on the remaining days. It is all a juggling act for now!
How are you doing? Any more news on the sale of your house?

@Former-Member Toby sleeps on the bed - he sleeps on the pillow next to me most nights - there is the occasional bark at something or a paw to the head lol but mostly I don't even know he is there. He doesn't even wake me when he gets off in the morning. When Cat decides it is time for her breakfast Toby does bounce along the side of the bed hoping I will wake up - it is pretty cute waking up to that little face on those mornings

It was good @Zoe7 .....
S2 and friend stayed in too, and D3 wasnβt out late (mr. doesnβt do late) so they all rocked on until around 2am .... although I sent D2 to bed at around 12:30 just before I headed off too.
I popped into Friday Feast last night (donβt know whether you saw) to say I had picked up a lovely Nutella banana and strawberry crepe from a street market for my dinner and then went home to get my painting done.

Well done on not entering into that game playing by Mr. @Faith-and-Hope I didn't see you at FF - I only stopped by to say I wouldn't be staying so didn't check on who else was there - nice that you had a crepe while you were out
I was well and truly asleep by the time you went to bed It seems like you spent some quality time painting and that is wonderful to hear. I need to get back to my sister's painting at some stage but there is no rush. I need to move it from the spare room back to the loungeroom so it can be 'staring' at me for that inspiration. I know what I need to do it is just having the motivation to do it!

Yeah, I understand that @Zoe7 ....
How is the weather for you today @Zoe7 @Former-Member ? Today is supposed to be beautiful here. I have grabbed my Art gear and heading to a hairdressing appointment now, but I will spend some time doing art outdoors across the afternoon. I bought sandpaper yesterday to smooth down some plaster objects I made.

Supposed to be clear here today and around 14 - my plan is to get our hers potted and then watch the football. I was considering going to see your team play tomorrow - they are in Hobart playing North Melbourne but there is forecast for showers and I can't afford to get sick again - plus not sure sitting that long would be good for my back - especially in the cold. So I will watch it on tv.
Plaster objects are fun to do - did a lot of those with my kids too - we used cookie and playdough cutters to make many different shapes then they painited them. They especially liked doing them in lovehearts for Mother's day - the kids had a great time and they could all be done in a day as the plaster dried quickly.
We also did a whole series of butterflies that the kids covered with mosaic tiles - they looked gorgeous @Faith-and-Hope - used decorative rocks on some also - I do really miss doing that stuff with the kids
Are you having a cut or a colour as well - more blue????
