Re: Taking the plunge

@utopia, that is fantastic going in the Syd to Hob race. Hope that sort of progress continues. She sure ought to be mighty proud of herself being a part of the sailing team to do so well. I have actually heard of Logistics, so will look out for more news on them.

@greenpea - Yes Christmas was a very quiet affair here too. But still okay I guess. New Year is something I very rarely do anything for. Generally home for a quiet dinner, a bit of telly and in bed before midnight most years. Early fireworks is about the best I can muster. A little odd because these days I never hit the sack before midnight. Have to wait and see what happens I guess. No plans at this stage though, and not expecting any.

Yay @Former-Member, a winner again! Well done, sounds like you're a real whizz at this bingo stunt. And bring luck to your companions as well. I think if I ever go to Bingo I would like to take you along for the lucky charm. I havent forgotten your question yesterday about volunteering, and will get back to you on that eventually. Yes, in answer to your question about Holly, she follows me everywhere.

@Maggie, you're very quiet today, I hope you're okay. You know how I said it was fine and sunny this morning? Well it was for a while, then some more rain came through. I was out in the back paddock clearing debris from all the water drains. Leaf and sticks built up from the heavy rain. Anyway Holly and I was out there doing our clearing and along came a quite heavy shower of rain. It felt so nice out there in it. I got soaked to the skin and totally loved it. Came back in after completing my work, and looked a bit like a drowned rat. As did Holly, who wasnt that keen to stay out there in the rain. But did so because she didnt want to leave me behind. Anyway I quickly got changed and went to visit my old lady friend in the Nursing Home. Still had wringing wet hair. She did ask me what I'd been doing, but didnt mind in the least that I was so wet. In fact she told me a story about when she was young she used to love being out in the rain as well. So I guess it brought some happy memories back for her. All good.

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member Just after 4am and it's pouring outside. We haven't had a decent downpour for, what feels like, months, so there will be walking in the mud and rain today. At least I don't have a hubby yelling at me to get out of it, an advantage sometimes.lol. There seems to be some comfort in walking in the rain for so many.

Well @Former-Member Maggie May tried every trick in the book to get me out of bed the other day. Licked my face, paw on my face, sat on top of me. Ran in and out to the lounge announcing the arrival of no one. But I just couldn't get up, just left the door open for her. She's a rascal. She has a great view of the street from the lounge room, so her nosey little antics get missed from the bedroom, all she sees there is the backyard, and there's nothing going on there for her. She right now, I'm up....

You have divided interests atm with cricket and Sydney to Hobart. Busy...

Wish me luck in the rain today, I hope you still have a shower or two up your way.๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽ€

Re: Taking the plunge

@greenpea We did survive Christmas, new year will be just another day for me, and trying to remember 18 not 17, challenging sometimes. I hope it brings some smiles here and there for us all. Nice to see the little green pea avatar..
