Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member Hoping the roller coaster ride is beginning to even out, but with an 18 year old in the house, I guess new year will be another adventure. It's tough, hang in there, it will pass. Sometimes the fact that time just goes on regardless can be helpful, in a strange kind of way. Thinking of you and the heat. Is your air con fixed???🌺🌺

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member Bingo, you're a winner.👍 I can see the cross stitch deliveries now!!!!! Looking forward to seeing your latest one finished. I'm hoping to get to mine today, I have a bit of concentration back.

Ahh the pavers @Former-Member three looked harmless. The ground was like rock and I chose the biggest pavers Bunnings had, which meant bigger holes to dig. Never thought of that when buying them. Yes satisfaction at a cost, but winter will be much easier now.

D has been off work for a while now, that must be hard. When can she return????

Im just finishing my first coffee, listening to the rain, can't see it yet as its still dark outside. Are you feeling a little better??? Bingo would have brought a smile.

A walk along the beach sounds lovely, I hope with a sea breeze. Take care today. ☀️🍀🍀🍀☀️

Re: Taking the plunge

@utopia I have only grey hair!!!!!! Turning white, scary stuff!!!!! I think I just heard Wild oats won the race, but there's some sort of problem. Will find out more when the news comes back on. Hope you have a good day today.🎀💟🌷

Re: Taking the plunge

@Maggie, the rain sounds lovely.  So pleased you got your pavers all set.  Hope they dont wash out in all this rain.  Rain and mud, such fun.  I think our rain has gone for a couple of days at least. Probably more though on Saturday and again early next week according to the forecast.  So the fun hasnt finished just yet.

Aww your little Maggie-May sounds ever so sweet. And such a determined little thing for her size.

My interests are not overly divided, I will always choose the cricket over the yacht race.  I take an interest in the Sydney to Hobart race, but it isnt televised, so I only get updates through the news broadcasts.  The line honours winners (the maxi's) crossed the finish line last night a little before 10pm.  The smaller yachts will come through for a while yet.  Have you ever gone to watch them come in?  It must be quite a sight. Although very crowded with spectators and activity, so probably not ideal for the likes of you and I.

Anyway Maggie, I'm glad you're up and about again and feeling better.  Hope this rain will help to rejuvenate you.  Enjoy!

Morning to @Former-Member @Former-Member @greenpea @utopia @CheerBear @Faith-and-Hope

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member That little pic you put up is just what's it is like here. I love the mud squishing through my toes. Lol.

I have never seen the boats come in, yes, too many people for me and you. I imagine it would be a magnificent sight at sunrise or sunset in particulat. I'm happy to watch on tv. Just catch glimpses of cricket. It's going all week I think. I know what you will be up to.

Im trying to clean the flat today. Had pot plants out in the rain earlier, sun is out now, so that might be the end of the showers.

I had better keep moving while I can. Mornings are my time, I wilt in the afternoons. Enjoy your day. And take care.

Hi @Faith-and-Hope, how are you holding up today??????

@Maggie @Former-Member
Yes the winners have crossed the line. Now waiting for the rest of the yachts to finish the race. Then will see where my friend places. Not just in the big race - but in their category of yacht.

Re: Taking the plunge

Yes indeed @utopia, and I look forward to hearing an update from you.  Line honours is one thing, but the race within each category is fierce in itself.  Hoping your friend finishes well.

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @Former-Member @Maggie @utopia .....👋🌷

Still feeling good about my decision today.  Slept long and deeply, probably a sign of relief too.

Have been tracking the news of your friend’s race @utopia .... how exciting !!

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @Maggie ❤️ I’m glad you got your pavers done. Huge achievement digging hard ground I don’t often have energy to work in the yard but it’s very satisfying when I do. No air con yet. Need a part for it and businesses are shut this week plus our electrician is away. So it’s been extremely hot and humid here.
Not sure about. New year. Last few ones we’ve spent at the beach fireworks. It’s a great night for those who like dancing on the beach. We usually take D and friends. D enjoys the dancing etc. this year she’s old enough to go off on her own with friends ,so I’m happy to go to bed. 😃

I’m learning to use my new phone, bit tricky. Plus my eye sight not great sometimes. I get lazy and can’t be bothered using punctuation all the time. Not good for ocd 😃

Nice to see you too @Former-Member ❤️ @Faith.and-Hope ❤️ @Former-Member ❤️ and everyone. Too hard to tag some days. That’s good you have cricket to distract you. Sherry I’ve never watched it. Shops were very busy yesterday and we enjoyed our usual Japanes lunch out. I was surprised how hot it was walking at the beach at 5pm. Didn’t go far, for that reason. Ok enough trying to type on new phone. Might be back later. ❤️
