Tell us: What bought you to SANE?

Hey everyone, 

On the topic of Mental Health Month, a few of the gang here have been having some conversations around how people find out about SANE, advertising and what kind of places people heard about the forums. 

We would love to hear what bought you to SANE?
Was it a flier in your doctors office, a Google search, maybe a referral from another program? 

Did you go straight onto the forums, or another SANE service first before you decided to use the forums?

My answer,
Unfortunately I have been excluded from a few services over time, I had one that I enjoyed participating in but that did not work out for me. I was referred here while I was on a break from them. I found it challenging at first, to be honest I think I told the other place I hated it, I had a few attempts at joining up here and then eventually when I officially aged out of the other service and turned 25 this was my best option.
It has worked out great for me and I really like it here. I am glad I stuck it out.

Good question. For me it was a flyer that was printed out for me at SafeHaven.

I found a sane booklet in the red Cross accommodation where I was staying In 2015 and came on the sane forum that night and I am still here after 9 years

They had a library there and it was on the bookshelf,  so maybe someone put it there
