With coffee .... without coffee. A place for us coffee lovers and coffee!

Re: With coffee .... without coffee. A place for us coffee lovers and coffee!

My daughter refused to sleep until 10pm,got up 3 times during the night, and then was up at 6am. I'm physically and emotionally shattered. Not sure there's enough coffee for today.

Hello fellow coffee drinkers @Gazza75 @Owlunar @Shaz51 @MDT and anyone else enjoying a cup this morning.

Lack of sleep makes everything a little bit harder, doesn't it @BlueBay ? She's in that stage of napping some days, but not every day. If she doesn't nap she's usually asleep by 6.45pm, so that's ok. She's out visiting with parents today, so I'm going to see a movie x

Re: With coffee .... without coffee. A place for us coffee lovers and coffee!

@Molliex  I hope she has a nap. It’s grest your parents have you so you can have time to yourself. So important. Enjoy the movies ❤️

Re: With coffee .... without coffee. A place for us coffee lovers and coffee!

I'm in desperate need of help @Gazza75 .

I bought a new car last week. The salesman was lovely & talked a lot about his hobby which is my hobby - a very unusual connection since my hobby is so obscure. I've literally never met anyone who is interested in it. By the next day I realised I liked him and then it developed over the next few days into a crush. I haven't had a crush for years, especially not since being on anti-psychotics, they've erased my ability to feel romantic attraction. Until now. I decided firmly I would email him to ask him out once the long weekend was over. Now it's Monday & time to send the email. But I feel like a fat, hideous, nervous schizophrenic who should not bother a nice man with disgusting emails.

When I bought the car I was in work clothes, make-up & felt reasonably attractive (as much as one can, these days, on meds). But today I'm not working, in trackies with no make-up & feel gross, mainly because my sister was revolting to me over the weekend. (I tried to gift my old car to my nephew who's just turned 18. She accepted it then after I'd done a lot of work prepping the car, inusrance etc. she declined at the last minute & was very rude about it all which made me feel like the horrible, ugly, mental patient in the family who no-one respects).

What should I do @Gazza75 ? He obviously doens't like me or he would have asked me out. I never checked if he had a wedding band so he may be married with kids. I dunno. Would you be horrified to receive such an email from a customer? Would that be sleezy & creepy? On the other hand, even if I embarass myself I have nothing to lose as the sale is complete & I never have to have contact with the dealership again as the service centre is totally separate. What should I do?

Re: With coffee .... without coffee. A place for us coffee lovers and coffee!

Hi @BryanaCamp ,

It's nice to hear from you.  That's a real bummer about the car and your sister mucking you about with it.  At least your nephew knows you were thoughtful about it.

In regard to the salesman, I would drop him an email and just see what happens.  If you do it now I think its  better than waiting as he's more likely to remember you and accept.  I don't think you are going to be sending a disgusting email and I think most guys would be flattered to get asked out.  If he's married or has a girlfriend, thats just how it is.  It's a possibility, but, you will just have to take the chance and see.

Again, I don't think its sleezy or creepy in the least.  No harm in trying.

Good luck and take care 🙂

Re: With coffee .... without coffee. A place for us coffee lovers and coffee!

Thank you for helping me in my hour of need @Gazza75 . I've emailed him so fingers crossed.

How are you going? I guess you're well becuase you have such a warm connection with your mum.

I have had to leave the forum as, apart from you, I was finding it to be an unfriendly and antagonistic place. The torrent of negativity and complaining was destructive to my well-being and I felt that people took support from me when offered but, apart from you,  then gave none in return when I needed it.

I am here to listen if you want to talk.
