Anxiety attacks and panic attacks.

Anxiety attacks and panic attacks.

Hey everyone, yesterday I started to have a real bad anxiety/panic attack. I had them before but this one is different and weird.

It started around 12pm yesterday and has been coming and going in waves. (I was showing signs of my anxiety and depression being heightened a few days prior), today I have some of the symptoms but there not as intense, what is though is the depression since the last intense wave last night. I struggled bad yesterday trying to find coping mechanisms that aren't harmful as I've been trying to find less harmful ways to deal with my mental health and today the depression side of the attack/ also maybe the come down ( this is my first prolonged and intense attack so I'm not 100 % on what Is going on/ what to do as normal there not so intense and rather short lived and I can manage it) I'm not sure what is going on or what to do? I've been reading up on panic attacks and anxiety attacks and the after affects and apparently depression ect is normal.. I'm lost. Anyone had experiences with this or like this? Should I get emergency professional help? @everyone

Hey @Staceace111 ,

It definitely may be worth while speaking to a professional, even your GP, so they can support you to get the support you need at this time.

Hope it goes well for you.

Re: Anxiety attacks and panic attacks.

I see my gp on the 15th of this month. Wouldn't be able to get in any earlier either.. from now until the.15th is quite some time

Re: Anxiety attacks and panic attacks.

Hi @Staceace111

Just saw you post from 10/8 and was wondering how you are.  I hope your visit to the GP was helpful and you have been able to get help for your depression and anxiety.

It can be like a roller-coaster ride and when it gets bad you just have to hang on as hard as you can. 🍁🍀🍂

Sending you hugs. 🫂
