Riding a wave

Re: Riding a wave

@Former-Member would you like to come and float with me on the ocean today? I have giant lonely feelings because it would normally be phoning day but it isn't. Smiley SadSmiley SadSmiley Sad

Do you have another story we could read together-but-not? I still haven't found out the ending of Room on the Broom because I fell asleep again. I'm thinking of keeping that one specially as my bedtime story - cos it seems to help with sleep! Smiley LOL

Re: Riding a wave

Thank you @Catcakes for your kind wishes, and @Phoenix_Rising , it helps to know someone else is there-but-not-there when these things knock us out of our equilibrium.

Re: Riding a wave

Good Morning on the ocean. @Phoenix_Rising I do so hope the videos and the photos might be of help to you, you're doing fine really, it's just that we always want to have mastered a skill before we've even begun, so I get how frustrating it seems.

Do see if you can watch the Simply Daisy video I linked all the way through as she is just repeating the same stitch as the piece grows. Smiley Wink

I often find I have to be a bit patient and watch a teaching video all the way through before I replay and start practising it myself.

I like your idea of emailing TTT on what used to be your phone call to other place days, that sounds like good management and helpful to you.

have a lovely day as far as you all can. Mine will be busy as I will be driving my flatmate to their medicals today, and waiting, waiting, waiting with my crochet in as quiet a place as I can. I'll have to talk to people for shoppingthings too. sigh. Notes it will be. Off to do that now.

Re: Riding a wave

Oooh Secret Garden is a good one @Former-Member! Love the movie ☺

I was thinking of trying to go all Pavlov with Room on the Broom after writing that I fell asleep twice to it @Phoenix_Rising 😆 I had a text book that used to put me to sleep almost just by looking at it, so maybe if I play Room on the Broom just before I fall asleep, eventually maybe it will become the same thing!

I remember how much of a gap my weekly appointment with my lifejacket person left when we didn't have any more time left. It still stings sometimes 🙁. There's a lot to be said for talk talking with helpful helping people. You're doing an awesome job at keeping on keeping on.

Yay for crochet! (That's where I am heading in a moment).

Hugs for you @Former-Member ❤ and hope your hairdressing day is going ok @Catcakes

Re: Riding a wave

I feel so super alone. Between the wrongness of the wrong and being banned from calling the HC, it's really really hard to keep reminding myself that I am an ok little turtle. How can I feel ok being me when the objective reality is that no one can stand being around me - even on the telephone! How does anyone feel ok about that? I feel super disconnected from, well, everything.

I miss CherryBomb. I super super super miss her. I so badly wish she was here to tell me that she thinks I'm ok.

@SleepyPanda I know you probably won't be working tonight, but for whenever you next appear, I super loved seeing your message on the ocean when I woke up this morning. It makes me feel snuggly and safe knowing that a sleepy panda was watching over the ocean. It means a super lot to me that you check in on the ocean even when I'm off in the land of nod. Smiley Happy

@CheerBear I'll be listening to Room on the Broom again at bedtime. I think @Former-Member has discovered the secret to a good night's sleep! Smiley LOL

@Former-Member I super hope you got through your tricky day ok. I am thinking about you right now. Smiley Happy

Night Forum Land.

Re: Riding a wave

I know I'm not CherryBomb but I think you're pretty ok (more than awesomely ok really) @Phoenix_Rising. As a bookish once said (I think), you do you well, and we like you for you.

Room on the Broom is a great trick so far!

Night ☺

Floats some sparkling, distactingly pretty flowers out on the water to @Phoenix_Rising   daisy floats.jpg

You are an okay little turtle. You are an okay little turtle. You are an okay little turtle. Hugs-but-not for the turtle being battered by the bigness of the wrongnesses. Such awful terrrible wrongnesses that make a turtle feel so wrong.
I havent' known you very long, @Phoenix_Rising but what I've seen of you tells me you have your muddles, but those are not who you are.

I must find these stories you swimmers and nesters listen to ... could do with some of that myself. I used to read stories onto tapes or burn them to cd's for the littles for when I was away from them for whatever reason. I don't think I've ever had someone else read me a story - I do like listening to Spike (James Marsden) read the Desden Files but I have always only listened to books while doing something else, not sleeping.

Made it through the day, there were some rough spots after I got there, but breathing, focus and remembering I had back up here helped enormously.

I am working on your crochet piece PR but my computer ate my diagram  Smiley Frustrated- damnable thing. I will hunt it down, or just draw it again.

Look after you little turtle, you and I have a crocheting goal to achieve! Smiley Wink

Re: Riding a wave

I like you a lot @Phoenix_Rising and you are very much ok...
Well done on the crochet, one of the DBT skills is mastery.... being always prepared to learn new things is admirable.
Have a good night🐥
