@Faith-and-Hope nothing may have been discussed today in regards to WH but it may not have been the right time - psychs are pretty good at sussing out when certain topics/issues should be brought up - hang in there Hon - keep the faith that it will happen and the hope alive that everything will work out 
S2 may be keeping it close to his chest for now also trying to work things out for himself first - you say he is an intelligent young man so that is quite possible.
