I didn't last long last night ... have been a bit short of sleep lately, especially the night.before last. The concert went really late. Someone else had done my hair for me, and it ended up soo tangled and full of hairspray, I looked like something out of the jungle .... ended up washing it cos I have literally seen a family member's hair turn to felt before, and have to be cut off short. I'm a long-hair gal .... !!

The beach looks stunning @Zoe7 .... and I am gonna ask permission to paint from your photos again .... you're gonna keep me busy for a while !! That opera house photo is still in my mind ..... the colour produced by that lighting is so beautiful ..... Last time I was there I sketched the harbour bridge, and wanted to sketch and then paint the opera house, but we had a lot of family there with us and it got too busy with daily life for my art to find a place in it all .... I took some photos to work from, but they were the view from the other side, and quite grey-blue .... not the gorgeous soft amber hue that you captured, and I love the perspective you found .... thank you m, thank you, my Zoe .... 💚💕

I think the beach air helped to knock me out last night .... we are a 5 minute drive to the beach from here so I am going for an early walk and wade down there shortly, before breakfast and church .....

D1 and SIL came with me, which is so nice. WH doesn't want to come, so that has effectively stopped family holidays up here, cos the younger two don't see the point in coming without him, and he is trying to draw them to more exciting things on the east coast every chance he gets to go away grrr .... which is also being oppositional to what I want for my family. I like what he does too, but he won't come this way in support of me .... 😔

Enough of him for now .... !! I'm gonna get up and ready to go.
