Morning @Faith-and-Hope I can relate to that long hair issue - mine feels like birds are starting to make a nest even if I don't wash it after a couple of days!!!!
You should know by now that you don't need to ask permission for anything - paint away Hon. I have a couple more I will post later - need to get them off my phone first!
It is nice that D1 and SIL went with you - time to see your dad and some time alone with them all would be more relaxing than if everyone came with you - and you so need that space and a little peace at the moment. 
Enjoy your walk with your Dad on the beach - photos definitely needed of the beach (your turn lol) and cherish every single minute you spend with him.
