I know you think you are doing the right thing by your family @Bubbles3 but you cannot function properly without food for that long - and that can only be detrimental to yourself and your family. It is impossible to stay 'on top of' your health (physical and mental) if you do not eat. As I said before - just a little less for each member of the fmily will give you a little to eat also. My mother used to do the same when we were young and money was an issue but the consequences were that she didn't have the energy to cope with the violence or anything else - your kids will be better off with a mum that can engage than one that does not eat and does not have any energy.
