I suspect it is to stay connected @Zoe7. From what I am learning about this sort of p.d., it is often only when they begin to lose all the significant relationships in their life ..... when life no longer “works” for them in the way they imagined, in the way they have set it up to work ..... that they begin to acknowledge that there is a problem, and they need help.
I suspect I blind-sided him with this. He had probably prepared himself to deal with me threatening, or actually, walking out and demanding a divorce ..... but not this .....
You would think he would know me better, right ??
