@Former-Member I know you get it - I just wish my gp and pdoc really did too. I can explain what it is like (the best I can) but both of them hoping the med changes/increases will EVENTUALLY help does not help me now - and NOW is when I need it. I try to explain that the days and nights are polar opposites - I can get through the daytime ok but the nights are excruciating. Even when I do get some sleep it is only a few hours at a time - and even if I don't have nightmares or flashbacks the actual 'getting to sleep' part is sooooo difficult. I know they have not experienced what I have (and thankfully most people haven't) but I wish they actually 'got' how each night is so hard that it often, literally, comes down to just surviving.
