Yeah, Irish Stew is a bit of a classic @Mazarita. Maybe with some nice home cooked bread on the side. ๐Ÿ™‚

@Former-Member, Sticky Date is nice too, but not one I've ever gotten into the habit of cooking. I reduce the sugar in my home cooked puds a bit, so that they're not complete richness overload. I'll often add fruit too. If you chop up pears or apples into the bottom of the self saucing pud dish, then put the batter and sauce over the top of it as per the usual recipe, you get lovely stewed chocolatey fruit with the pud when you scoop it out. ๐Ÿ™‚

May have to see if I can get myself organised to make some while our daughter's friend is staying. That would earn me a few extra mum-brownie-points. ๐Ÿ˜„
