I vaguely know Hoch Deutsch , ie the official language, not others or dialects @Appleblossom  I stayed in Trier like 20 something years ago. had never heard of it. was thru rel. they have their own language; only 70k's to Luxembourg. cousin even found an Asterix book in local dialect, well think its a language even

lots tiny little pubs if you know where to go. cats run free in eating areas. Luxemburgers eat horse, so do Moselle people. lots Roman ruins. I saw a beautiful model of Trier in like 50 AD as Roman City in a museum. pop back then around 100k ie over twice what it is now lol
