Hi @outlander

This is an astronomy thread - but we can have a bit of astrology as well - I find both very interesting but I know more about the solar system actually

And hi @Ceres

Welcome to the Forum Family - every one is welcome and people support each other wonderfully - so great to have you aboard

So everyone else - @redheaded@utopia@Former-Member@Shaz51@Former-Member

Things are getting interesting in the sky now and will become moreso in the next few weeks - the rest of the year actually

After having cloudy afternoons and evenings in Melbourne we havef had some really clear nights and we still have Jupiter followed by the constellation Scorpio and the star Antares and Saturn crossing the sky in the early evening now.  On a clear evening they are easy to find and right now the moon is in the evening sky right by those - so things are easier to find atm

Mercury is setting in the west well after sunset but I haven't been able to find it - my horizon is too high here and with some things they are hard to find if we are not sure where to look

In the mornings - which have been pretty clear here in Melbourne - the two constellations Orion and Taurus are both clearly visible rising and look fantastic - people - it is so easy to see the Wolf-Star - Sirius now - it is hard to miss

Thanks for the call-out Outlander - I was about to write this - just didn't get around to it - now I have

And here the evenings are stretching out - it is still light after 6.00pm now
