The socks were for my S1 @CheerBear .... before D1 and D2 arrived within the two years and making socks slid right off the table there for a long while .....

He was little, so the socks were little .... and fun to make .... but I am glad they weren’t big fun-to-make socks ..... and I am glad I didn’t have to spend 30-odd years making socks for everybody in my family ..... it wouldn’t have left much time or energy for anything else, that’s for sure .....

At the moment I am stitching some of my old knitted scarves together to make a throw-rug for the loungeroom.  It’s sort of a cheat way to feel like I am being crafty ..... but I did knit the scarves in the first place, so it counts ......

And I have bought some balls of wool and a crocheting hook that are staring at me from a basket in my room every time I walk past ..... so that is all part of my plan to stay art-grounded, even when I feel like a hot air balloon that could just float off somewhere.  I am trying to dig in here and feel like I will be okay.

Making a scarf blanket is helping that feeling .....

I am trying to load the other side with self-care stuff to make them feel more like this -
