I am not really into the waves - I used to surf - body surfing was okay - board riding was quite different - but I used to lie down on the board - even if the other surfies laughed at me
So I was put to the test in Sydney - the whale watching cruises go out into the ocean - ah - not keen - and I was very glad when the decision was taken away from me when the weather was too rough - but I did ride around Sydney Harbour in the ferries - and that was quite enough
So when it comes to your big waves - I remember getting dumped once and I didn't like it - so your imagery really speaks to me -
Maybe my life was a surf-storm in the past - I never thought about it in those terms but Port Phillip Bay can spring up into lethal storms from nothing and that's too much for me
So thinking of you in super-surf means I feel fear for you - I am not good at it - and I hope you can find people to keep you safe
I am truly a land-lubber but then - I love flying - my plane flew down the east coast - I couldn't see any whales from up there but I saw lots of boats - and then the plane flew east to Melbourne across the snow covered mountains
So - in your surf - imagine flying with me in the sky - for me - that's safe - I like it - I hope you could too
