Hi @Phoenix_Rising and @Zoe7 🙂

Zoe, I'm really happy to hear that your book arrived safely at its new home, though I can imagine that maybe it isn't the best timing when you're feeling as you are (then again, maybe it is also great timing in a way too). Like phoenix_rising, I definitely understand that you may not be up to it right now, or up to it for a while and then not up to it etc. Totally your choice and completely with you however you want to do this.

What's slow and steady again? (Kidding). I flew through the first section of it but have every intention of revisiting it again. I kind of need to skim over things and then go back through them again to best get my head around them. I think that's just how I learn best.

Like Zoe, I am happy to be led by you with the thread phoenix_rising, if you're happy with that? I agree with all of what you've mentioned above and feel similarly. I don't have my book or notes on me today but will have it back from tomorrow. I found parts of the first section of the book incredibly helpful (but my banana brain can't work out exactly what they were right now to flag them here). Long story short, even before I got to the specific skills I found it helpful, and can see value in giving the introductory stuff some space as well.

Are you planning on going page by page through the whole book in order? I may not do this, but I do plan on going through all of it eventually. I was trying to work out whether to follow the skills from a certain schedule (and then which one), or whether to go through the modules one by one in order, or whether to just pick and choose (and then how/based on what). I asked my psych whether they had any recommendations, expecting they may say to follow a schedule, or give me a list of handouts to try, and they said to skim over the modules and then pick what I felt would work well and practice them. So I guess that's what I am doing, although my skimming came to a halt as I found the very first handout and worksheet (and the subsequent handouts and worksheets) have all caught my interest. I don't want to confuse any adventure/adventurers with my kind of jumbled brain/way of doing things, but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to find a way of participating without doing this (I'll just be careful) 🙂

As I said, from tomorrow I will have my notes and folders and book back with me but the next couple of weeks may be a bit hit and miss in terms of forum adventuring, as our usual day-to-day life is not usual at all during school holidays. I have a feeling that will be understood and ok though 🙂

Thanks for starting this conversation - I'm very excited to hear you're in a place to be able to think about it phoenix_rising!
