Any adjustments to any written works have to be by the writer themselves in order to be authentic, is my take on it ..... and for it to be authentic, then the writer has to be comfortable changing their work, and comfortable with the end product ..... it has to be by a choice that leaves them feeling that their work is, even in an edited form, their work ..... as in part of them as they are .....acceptable and valid as they are.

It's the same with artwork ..... I have a personal objection to art teachers who tell students exactly what they want their artwork to look like, and "correct" it to match their own tastes and ideas .....
