I did finally get to sleep - woke up about 3.30am and took a little while to go back to sleep - still very windy! Cuddled Toby and finally relaxed enough to sleep again. Up early and is still very windy - hope it settles down soon!
@utopia Hope you slept my wonderful friend and are feeling better today. You were in my thoughts last night - lots of hugs for you

@Former-Member Thanks for checking in. I pulled the doona up and snuggled in - it was quite cold last night!

@Faith-and-Hope I think I read through about half of your F&A thread last night - didn't take much in but it did distract me enough to go to sleep (not a reflection on your writing - just a good distraction from being in my own head).

@Faith-and-Hope Hope you are dozing now. I took off and did an online jigsaw puzzle - couldn't focus very well - very slow - but finished it! Didn't get frustrated with how slow I was so that is a bonus.
I can see you are still on WH's lunch schedule!!! I'll take a look at F&A later - thanks.

@BlueBay Hi buddy! Nice to hear from you I didn't sleep well but got through the night much better.than I have been - so that is a bonus. I am still really tired this morning and a bit flat but trying to distract myself. The wind is starting to die down so that is helping.

Good morning everybody,
My morning started extremely average, but it has now brightened. I was due to see NP at 3pm, but she emailed to ask if I could come at 1pm instead. When I responded, I also told her how super badly I had been struggling all week. She replied back saying how bad she felt about the way our last session went and that she has been thinking about some ways we might be able to better manage the muddles. Just hearing her say that she felt terrible about the fact that I'd left feeling worse than when I went in, SUPER helped. Suddenly I feel heard and validated instead of ignored and dismissed, and that makes SUCH a difference!
@Appleblossom That's really interesting that you said you were taught to regulate the way I do, in primal therapy. I don't know anything about primal therapy - I will ask google about it. I am very into the research and developments that are happening in neuroscience and how the effects of trauma on the brain are becoming much better understood. I am certain that in twenty years or so, they are going to look back on things such as CBT and laugh at how anyone could have ever thought that that approach would help people with trauma-related issues.
Ok, well I'm going to get on with my day. @Zoe7 it sounds like you had a less-than-ideal night, but I hope you feel at least a little bit rested and I hope your day is peaceful
