I am getting by which is the good news - I have bad news from my extended family recently and I can't contact them right now and I don't know how things are - and I really love these people

I hope things are okay for you - I understand Christmas is likely to cost a fortune for you and your kids eat everything available - I am sure this will not be easy for you

yeah xmas has cost us a lot of money this year. but at least its all done. every other year ,i leave it to the last minute and sends me mad, literally mad, crazy.
and with the food , iv had to put limits on how many sancks they eat during the day because it does cost so much.
@Owlunar. do you have kids.

we willl be skint with money over xmas which im not hhappy about coz i wanted to go camping fr a few day over my hubby 2 weeks break.

what are you doing over the xmas break

Being short of money at any time isn't in no way good - but at Christmas - aw no - really hard 

Yes - I had two children - I worked at times when they were young but usually I wanted to be around for them - it's hard work being a stay-at-home mother - 

My daughter lives not far from me - she has a large family all of whom have left home now - they have a lovely home

I'm getting on in years - I've had a lot of Christmases in my life - I missed not having family around so Christmas Day at one of my grandson's places will be great

when i was younger it was just me , mum , my sis and bother and thats it. no other family.
