@Former-Member I know mine is from old and years of abuse

Re: The great yoga adventure

Again we started the session in Child's Pose. But from then on, it was quite intense. Today I went to a Vinyasa session. I usually go to the class before that which is gentler but as I had a Meditation Workshop immediately after, I upgraded myself.

It was tough. I'm used to slow prolonged movements and this Vinyasa style is much more dynamic. I survived and almost fell asleep during the Meditation which I am really enjoying.

Hope you've all been posing as kids today. @Phoenix_Rising will be wishing you have too.

Re: The great yoga adventure

I did not do any child poses yesterday, but did one the day before. Forecast for tonight is uncertain.

Re: The great yoga adventure

Went to a Yin class tonight. Strong poses held for greater lengths of time but nothing too strenuous. We did Child's Pose and lots of other lovely stretches.

After the session, the instructor tells us that she won't be taking that class anymore 😩

Re: The great yoga adventure

Good evening everybody, I have been a child today, have you? Smiley Happy

@TheVorticon I am barracking for you to be a child before today is over. Smiley Happy

@soul @Former-Member @Shaz51 yay for being children yesterday. How many days is everyone up to? @soul has declared that we need to be children at least five days this week to win a child-pose inspired shirt. Is Monday presentation day @soul???

@soul That sucks that your teacher isn't taking that class anymore. Smiley Sad

@Anony18 Welcome to our yoga group. Yoga, pilates, it all involves moving and breathing. Does anyone know the difference? I think pilates is faster paced isn't it? I really have no idea. Anyway, you are super welcome to join us in our pose-a-week adventures @Anony18. This week we are doing Child's pose. This is how you do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwDVQPiQpHQ

Now, where are all those moderators who I know are into yoga-ing? Hey @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member have you been children today? You should be role-modelling yoga-ing for all us Forumites you know! You can't prattle on about self-care if you aren't going to role-model it. No excuses about being too busy or not having time! That goes for you also @Former-Member @Former-Member @NikNik. Go on, be a child, you know you want to. Smiley LOL

Ok, well I think it is highly probable that I will be a child again tomorrow. I super hope you will join me.

Happy yoga-ing. Smiley Very Happy

Re: The great yoga adventure

@Phoenix_Rising - I do the second type child pose a lot 😊 will try first one another day. Pilates can be more fast pace but also slow. It concentrates on more core muscles. This may help with the knowledge of difference
