Re: 😭

@Jynx that's true yeah, I can even email the university (of the masters degree) about it too to see if the bachelors degree im taking would meet the requirement to that masters 🙂

Re: 😭

Oooh good idea @Blackcloud! It's like one needs a masters in 'navigating uni courses' in order to find out how to study what they need to 😅

Re: 😭

@Jynx this morning i was looking at that masters in arts therapy degree that i was talking to you about yesterday and ive had  a chat to one of the staff members at that uni via chat and it seems that that masters is a very competitive one as universities usually dont tend to have that masters degree - so far, only 2 universities here have the masters.

anyway, i've also been thinking about (like i always do) how me struggling to speak and articulate my words effectively when talking to others very much impacts the way i communicate with people everywhere and that's the main thing im concerned about (and always have) when it comes to a lot of things...like being at a job where i always need to talk to people face to face, and/or even just being at school or something where it's more easier for me to just sit there and not talk to anyone because im too afraid to show them my 'speaking flaws', but also because ive always been used to not talking to anyone and just be in my own space. that's the part/thing that ive always been thinking about and think that it'll never get better.

i'm worried on how i'll be able to perform my role as a potential art therapist (if I WAS to get into the masters degree of course) then despite this barrier that i always have

that's why i know i'm more suitable with doing remote roles, like volunteering as a digital crisis supporter (soon) -- basically any roles that i wanna do that require just texting/chatting to people

Re: 😭

@Blackcloud what about text-based services like this one? Maybe you could run an art therapy group via a chat group, specifically for folks who have communication difficulties but still want to connect and heal through art!!

There's all sorts of ways you can play to your strengths 😉

Re: 😭

@Jynx yeah that's what i was thinking, like mostly volunteering and working at text-based services like lifeline and here too. i'm not sure about running an art therapy group via a chat group, cause im not sure where/what website i would have to run that at lol 🤔

Re: 😭

Meh @Blackcloud cross that bridge when you come to it, software comes and goes pretty quickly!! lol I'm sure someone will have the answers, you don't have to build everything from the ground up!

Re: 😭

@Jynx yeah thats true lol

i dont know why ive been worrying about it for nothing and then it suddenly makes me feel unmotivated to even work on my uni stuff today, imma do that tonight hopefully lol, or even so, after i finish eating this meal that i've just cooked and meal prepped just now. 😄

the meal i've just made today is a very simple one - black rice with egg and chicken, with black pepper on top of it as the seasoning. ❤️

Re: 😭

@Blackcloud sometimes my brain looks for an excuse, ANY excuse, to procrastinate.... maybe it was like that? Like 'oh here's a big hurdle to my goals, might as well not study then!' Might not be but just thought I'd share lol

omg sounds yummm!! I will be having leftover risotto!! Its mushroom and sage with roasted hazelnuts!! Ever made risotto? It's one that's like, super hard on the surface but when you do it you realise it's really easy!! It's mainly a timing thing.

*cries in time blindness and memories of several failed risottos* 😅
