Something’s not right

not coping

Re: not coping

@tyme, the guided service was amazing when I was with them, it might be something @outlander can look into. @tyme, I hope you do find the break restful, even if you don’t to Christmas.

@outlander, I think you deserve to get the help you need, sometimes that help means trying to figure out what supports are available. MH system can be hard to navigate, I hope you do find the help you need 💖

Re: not coping

thanks @Snowie @Eve7 @tyme @creative_writer
i reached out for help offline before i went to work and they just told me i need to think happy thoughts when i expressed my worries about how much my mh has declined and also my chronic pain levels have been increasing and affecting my mobility more lately which is concerning. the medical treatment i just went for was suppose to help

i was also told that my favourite client has passed away as well today so thats making things harder for me too

Re: not coping

@outlander, do you think it’ll help if you reach out to SANE once it’s running again. I was thinking of reaching out since I have a lot of chaos to work through. Though I think I’ll work through it by writing it out first so I know how to structure the call. I can understand how invalidating it may feel to think happy thoughts. Sometimes you just have to let yourself feel. I’m sorry to hear your favourite client passed away 🫂. This image has helped me:

Re: not coping

yeah i might reach out to sane. im not sure though @creative_writer
i am usually positive about most things but as soon as im negative i just get told to think happy thoughts and be positive.

i cant see your pic yet but ill keep an eye out for when its approved

Re: not coping

I like that picture @creative_writer

Re: not coping

@outlander, I’ve found SANE helpful on most occasions. I hope if you do reach out, you feel comfortable and understood by the person. Telling someone to be positive does not help. All emotions are valid and need to be experienced. I hope you are feeling better today 💖

Re: not coping

@outlander wishing you a good day today hon

Sending love 💌💌

Re: not coping

thanks @Snowie @creative_writer

im working a double shift today so i dont finish till 930 tonight and then need to go home and start baking treats for tomorrows brunch. just glad theres not many people so only need to do 3 different batches. providing im home and started by 10 i should be finished most by midnight. i can finish it the rest off early tomorrow morning before i start cooking breakfast.

im volunteering with a company tomorrow evening for a few hours to help with a homeless shelters dinner so after everything done for brunch while pops with his family ill be out helping for a few hours at the christmas dinner for the homeless.

Re: not coping

I hope work goes ok @outlander and you get the treats finished tonight.

That is so nice of you to volunteer hon. You really do have a big heart. It is so nice when you can give, warm and fuzzies inside 💜💜

Re: not coping

ill finish them tonight. by the time presents are done and brunch and cleaning up itll be time to drop pop to family then go help @Snowie so its a big day for me.
if i i can help someone feel abit better on christmas thatll be nice for them. i brought a heap of candy canes to give out as people come in so itll be a nice greeting for them. ive also been doing up christmas cards on behalf of the company so each person or i hope as ive made 100 so far and 100 candy canes hopefully itll do everyone so everyone will get a card and candy cane when they leave
